During social events at home, the salsa was the center of attention and was the first to run out. Friends insisted that Sonia makes it a product to be sold, and she did. So the venture started at Farmer's Markets where many people of all ages became loyal fans and insisted that the salsa is available the entire year. So stores started carrying it and develop a strong following in Vermont.
Sonia’s Salsa is still available in Farmer’s Markets during the summer time, as Sonia passionately promotes the salsa and makes friends. But it also participates the entire year in an indoor Farmers market at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont.
The Salsa has become a Vermont icon as it is sold at various tourist places like Shelburne Farms in Shelburne, Cold Hollow Cider Mill in Waterbury Center, and, Crowley Cheese Company in Mount Holly, Vermont. The salsa has followers that return to Vermont to buy more.
